The Yale Library of Medieval Philosophy is a series of commissioned translations of philosophical texts from the Latin Middle Ages. The series is intended to make available in English complete works of philosophical and historical importance, translated by scholars whose linguistic abilities are complemented by a philosophical understanding of the subject matter. Each translation published in the series will be accompanied by a brief introduction, sparse notes (confined to indispensable explanations and references), and an index.
