For more than 60 years, Jasper Johns (b. 1930) has remained a singular figure in contemporary art. Heidi Colsman-Freyberger is senior researcher for the Jasper Johns: Catalogue Raisonné of Painting and Sculpture, and executive director of the Barnett Newman Foundation.
