Kathleen Berra, clinical trial director at the Stanford Center for Research in Disease Prevention, is cofounder of one of the first cardiac rehabilitation programs in the United States. Gerald W. Friedland is professor emeritus of radiology, Stanford University School of Medicine. Francis H. Koch is a consulting cardiologist to the Cardiac Therapy Foundation of the Midpeninsula, Palo Alto.
